Miscellaneous Files and Programs
HLwinkey
A little program for those of you that constantly hit that windows key by accident when you are playing. This was created at the request of one of our clan members who will remain nameless. Just drop this in a folder somewhere and place a shortcut to it in your startup programs group. You can then disable/enable the windows key by clicking on the program icon in your desktop system tray (over by the clock). This program has been tested on 98 & 2000, and I believe someone is running it on XP without issues, but let me know if it doesn't work on your OS.
Overlord.wad
For those failed Steam installs running DoD 1.* that give you the dreaded 'missing overlord.wad' message. For some reason there are a lot of maps that reference this wad file, but don't include it in their installations. Just unzip this file into your program files\steam\steamapps\email@addy\day of defeat\dod folder and you're good to go.
Hitchhikers Guide
If you're not familiar with this, it's definitely worth the listen. You may have seen the movie version of late, but it doesn't do the original justice. Buy and read the book by Douglas Adams, or download these .wav files of the original radio adaptation. It's a pretty hefty download, but definitely worth it!
Sturmbot 1.6
With the release of HL2 and everyone moving to Source games, downloads for pre-source mods are getting harder and harder to find. It took me a while to locate this download (even longer for the linux version) so I thought I would find a new home for it so that it was available a while longer. This is Sturmbot for Day of Defeat. It allows you to add bots to your server (or local game) to frag with while waiting for peeps to show up.
Voice tweak
This is the pre-source app that helps with voice communication set up in Half-Life games. It isn't in the valve folders any longer, and it takes a while to find on the steam message boards. Figured I'd put a copy of it here for anyone that might need it.
